DO YOU HAVE NECK, BACK, ARM OR LEG PAIN WHEN YOU:

            Drive?

Stand up from a seated position?

            Brush or dry your hair?

Put on your clothes or tie your shoes?

Chop food, lift pans, lean over a stove or wash dishes?

            Sweep, vacuum or scrub floors?

            Shovel snow?

Carry groceries or put food away?

Sit on the floor and play with children?

            Walk?

            Travel?

We don't realize how much we tighten our necks, slump down or arch our backs when we perform our habitual movements of taking care of ourselves.  We sometimes use too much force with the wrong parts of our bodies.

An AT teacher can observe how you perform these tasks and with hands-on guidance teach you to perform them with improved body mechanics that are congruent with your body's innate design.  You will lengthen your spine instead of bend at your waist, apply only the appropriate force for a task and use your joints properly.
